What is automated layout?
Layout robots automate the process of transferring digital models (BIM or CAD files) out to the field in full size on the floor of the construction site. They are generally used by layout crews who would otherwise be manually marking layout on the floor, either using measuring tape and chalk lines, or with total stations.
What is multi-trade layout?
Multi-trade layout is the process of printing multiple trades’ layout using a layout robot to complete coordinated layout in a fraction of the time as traditional methods. Multi-trade layout incorporates multiple CAD or BIM files, from each of the different trades, and combines them together to be printed in a single pass over the floor. Robotic multi-trade layout gives significant schedule compression and enables installation to commence almost immediately.
